Android In La La LandDocumentary 2016

Documentary Synopsis
Android in La La Land is a 2016 British documentary film about Gary Numan, directed by Steve Read and Rob Alexander. It premiered at SXSW in 2016 and follows Numan as he leaves England and settles with his wife Gemma and their three daughters in Los Angeles.
Filmed with fly-on-the-wall access to family life, the film charts Numan's struggle with writer's block and depression, and the making of the comeback album Splinter [Songs From A Broken Mind], alongside archive footage from his rise as an electronic pioneer.
The documentary presents an intimate portrait of the artist away from the stage: a candid look at his creative process, his relationship with Gemma, his Asperger's diagnosis, and his return to touring and recording.
